I really like the quote "it's a good day for a good day." I found a sign earlier this year that I placed on my fireplace mantle to continually remind me to focus on the good things in my life. In 2018 I made one of my goals to find the positive and remain grateful regardless of what life throws my way. Who knew that it was also going to be a challenging year. In May I left a job I had been with for several years and transitioned to a new company. I'm forever grateful for where I am now, but honestly, at the time, it was rough. Remembering this quote even in the darkest hour has helped me to see things in perspective. Does this mean that every single day is perfect? Absolutely not! In fact, most days I find myself a frazzled mess trying to balance work, motherhood, business, and a semblance of a social life. But for all the chaos and craziness that life throws my way, I realize that there is so much to be grateful and thankful for. It's so easy to be negative. Not on purpose, of course. But when life throws us an obstacle we quickly turn our thoughts to, "I'm not good enough" or "It wasn't meant to be." We may say, "I am not worthy" and "I never get anything to go my way." Perhaps it's a bit of a New Age philosophy, or maybe, it's the faith I carry with me every day, but I have found that when I change my mindset from a negative 'poor me' attitude to one of gratitude and abundance, life is so much better!
Don't get me wrong, I certainly have my share of trying moments, but try it and trust me, the change will be rewarding in so many areas of your life. Change your mindset, change how you speak to yourself, and change your attitude Instead of "I never get anything to go my way" try saying, "I'm waiting for the moment I can accept all that
We have such a beautiful, abundant, miracle life and when we start finding ways to be grateful and make each day a good day you start to find that every day becomes a 'good day for a good day.' My challenge for you this week is to find even the littlest things that you often overlook on a daily basis and find reasons you are thankful for them. The roof over your head, the shoes on your feet, the food in your fridge, running water, transportation to/from work.... you get my point. Love, Becky
