“I can’t bear you dying with one ounce of potential left in your body because you’re scared of what girls from 8th grade would think of you now.” 🎤 drop.. ~Rachel Hollis
A quick post today because I'm traveling. Plus I'm trying to make myself accountable to keeping up with the blog. I always have the best intentions, but then I find myself making excuses because I'm on a plane, traveling to a new city, attending a conference, etc. But I'm here and although this is short, I hope it brings a little bit of value to your day.
Can you believe it is almost March already? March 2019. Crazy, huh?! So many of you set goals and intentions in January 2019 and I've heard of so many successes! Keep up the great work.
I've also heard a few stories recently that people are struggling. They had some big goals and ideas for how 2019 was going to go and it's not going as planned. First, let me tell you something I've learned (and trust me, it's a hard one to learn) is that life never goes as you plan. Here's the thing. Life doesn't always happen exactly as we plan it out, but we have the ability to make the best of the way things occur naturally. We can stay focused, positive, and own the process in order to keep moving forward in a way that promotes growth, happiness and bravery. Sometimes you have to take a step back, readjust your plans, and take the failure or fear or struggle and tell yourself that you are going to overcome. You need to face your fears and destroy those limited beliefs. Trust me, girl, it’s okay to be scared. Being scared simply means that you’re about to do something really, really brave and really, really great! We're still in the first quarter of 2019. And for me, 2019 is about ‘owning my magic’ and being authentic, happy, and make the best of the situations I'm faced with. It means that I'm going to handle things with a smile. It means I'm going to remove obstacles and toxic people and situations that don't bring me joy in order to own my magic and live my best life. That also means there are a lot of people who won’t like it. I’m okay with that. You don’t have to like it. You don’t have to like me. Because I love myself, I love my unique talents and abilities, and I love my magic enough that I don’t need validation and likes from people in order to go after my dreams. 2019 is just getting started and if the path hasn't been straight yet, that's okay, it just means you are on the path to some really great things that you are working hard to achieve.
